Create your Web synoptic Tumor templates

For Pathology

Updated: Feb 1, 2020

A simple innovative method enable users to make their own re-usable templates as dynamic Web forms for synoptic tumor reporting. Click on the image to try it.

A Modular Web Application Offers Flexibility and Adaptability to Cope with Frequent Structural Updates in Pathology Cancer Reporting.

This method puts a new software technology into the hands of ordinary users. No requirement for technological skills or back-end server. Frequent updates of reporting standard will no longer be a challenge.

This is apparently not just for pathology tumor reporting. This post answers some common questions posted by users.

Q: Can you elaborate on its tech / method?

A: A complete report with specifics has been submitted to a peer-reviewed professional journal. If accepted for publication, it will be freely available. Please follow us for update.

Q: Is the software application free?

A: Yes. You can access the app on-line at www.essentialpathology.info.

Q: What do you mean by "re-usable" templates?

A: A Web dynamic form repeatedly used for collating information becomes a template. By this new method, you can save each and every Web dynamic form as a text file and store it in your computer for future use (as dynamic Web forms).

Q: What's the big deal of this?

A: Maybe two? (1) If you need a dynamic form to collect data day after day, like a pathologist who has to report cancer cases in a specific way, this helps greatly since you won't have to wait for the constipated IT support to make the form for you. Now you can do it! (2) updates of any reporting content/standard used to be a big problem, not anymore with this method.

Q: Which journal is that report submitted to?

A: It is submitted to a main reputable pathology journal for consideration. We can not reveal a journal's name unless it accepts the report for publication. Please follow us for the update.

Q: Any specific instruction on how to use this app?

A: There are some on the Web platform. Very limited (a video, a step-by-step instruction, etc) but good enough to start with. We will put out more.

Q: Any on-line help?

A: Unfortunately not. But a forum will become available for specific Q&A. After all, this is a very simple method.

Q: What's your business model?

A: This is NOT a business. There are 1.8 million new cancer patients each year. Pathologists are the ones who provide definitive cancer diagnosis. We just hope that this can help pathologists care for their patients. Nonetheless, we appreciate your question.
